Today is a great beach day with warm afternoon temperatures and a light west wind. Highs reach near 90 degrees with temperatures resting in the mid-80s along the coast. The UV Index is strong, so sunscreen is a must. The day will remain quiet without chances for rain.
Clouds build tonight ahead of an approaching weather system tomorrow that delivers midday scattered rain showers. Downpours and thunderstorms eventually move in for the midday and can create some localized flooding and travel delays for the evening commute. Rain totals can reach nearly 1-1.5" in the worst of the downpours. Storms will be worst between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Weather conditions lull for Friday with a mix of sun and clouds. The temperatures will be warm but comfortable. The weekend will feature rain, likely on Saturday night into early Sunday with a few showers lingering through Sunday.
