A quarter of a century after her husband, Adam J. Lewis, was killed in the South Tower on 9/11, Patty Lewis, of Fairfield, continues to honor his memory through the living legacy of education.
Left to raise their four young children alone after the tragedy, Lewis channeled her enduring grief into founding the Adam J. Lewis Academy in Bridgeport, a nonprofit independent day school serving approximately 200 pre-K through eighth-grade students.
The academy reflects Adam’s profound love for learning - a passion shaped by his own experience as a scholarship student at New York's Dalton School before becoming a senior trader at KBW.
Lewis now devotes her time and energy to shaping young lives at the school, where she sees her late husband's smile, courage and grace in the face of every child.
