Fair skies will eventually give way to more overcast conditions for tonight. A weather system with rain and storms will be dipping through in the wee hours of Thursday morning. The wet weather will not amount to much, but roads could be a little slippery for the Thursday morning commute.

Skies will cloud over tonight. The winds are gusty from the southwest. This will continue to keep the air warm and humid. Nighttime lows will be 5 to 10 degrees warmer than average.

Thursday starts off potentially wet. This type of weather system usually doesn't bring a lot of rain to any one particular area. This system is stretching out, so the atmospheric energy is becoming elongated and less robust. It looks to be more of a nuisance weather feature.

This system will sink just south of New Jersey into the Delaware Bay. The front will loiter close by. By mid-morning, the weather will begin to improve. The sun will be peeking through the clouds, the winds will be changing direction and the temperatures will still feel very summery.

By Thursday night into Friday morning, that stationary system just to our south will allow a quick-moving piece of weather to pass through. Showers are likely very early Friday. Our atmospheric pallets being cleansed by Friday afternoon. The sun comes back out. The humidity is gone and the temperatures are back to where they should be heading into the weekend.
