A woman is facing multiple charges after police say she caused a crash involving several vehicles and then drove away from the scene in Wilton.

The Wilton Police Department says 43-year-old Adrian Windham was driving on School Road when her SUV sideswiped one vehicle, crossed the double yellow line and struck a second car.

Investigators say the SUV then hit a guardrail and lost a tire.

Police say Windham continued driving for about a mile before finally coming to a stop.

Authorities say she refused to perform field sobriety tests.

Windham was arrested last week and is now facing multiple charges, including DUI-related offenses.
