Former Connecticut budget deputy Kosta Diamantis allegedly fled to Greece ahead of his bribery sentencing.

Prosecutors say it appears he traveled on a Greek passport.

News 12 is told that his lawyer didn't find out until Wednesday night through a voicemail Diamantis left him from Greece.

A judge plans to issue a bench warrant for his arrest.

Diamantis' sentencing is rescheduled for Sept. 30 at 10 a.m.
