Flights at multiple tri-state area airports are being disrupted Monday as the Federal Aviation Administration grounds flights due to equipment issues.

Flights were also stopped at Teterboro Airport and Philadelphia International Airport.
The ground stops then expanded to John F. Kennedy International Airport just after 2 p.m.
LaGuardia Airport is experiencing a ground delay of 45 minutes due to the outage.
In a statement, the FAA said the disruption is tied to "issues with some frequencies at Philadelphia TRACON," an air traffic control facility serving the region.
The agency said the information is preliminary and subject to change.
