A major renovation project is underway at Yale Street Commons in Bridgeport.
Officials say the $19.5 million project will modernize the 44-unit affordable housing complex with a series of upgrades.
The work includes new doors and windows, renovated kitchens and bathrooms and new appliances throughout the property.
The project will also add energy-efficiency improvements and accessibility upgrades for residents.
Officials expect the renovations to be completed within about a year.
