Sen. Richard Blumenthal is criticizing comments by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about vaccine safety.
The Connecticut Democrat said residents should trust scientists and medical experts over Kennedy when evaluating vaccines.
"My hope is the people of Connecticut will believe the scientists and medical experts, not Robert F. Kennedy Jr.," Blumenthal said.
Blumenthal said vaccines work and are safe and effective. He added that vaccine safety is supported by rigorous and well-established scientific data.
