A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for trafficking cocaine, according to the Connecticut District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors say Victor Francisco Bonilla, 35, purchased cocaine from the leader of a drug dealing organization and sold it to his own customers in southern Connecticut between Aug. and Oct. 2024.

He also began receiving cocaine via mail from a source in Puerto Rico in 2025. Several packages containing drugs were recovered during an investigation leading to his arrest on Sept. 10, 2025.

He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine on May 11, 2026.

Following his prison sentence, he will also be subject to five years of supervised release.
