A $20,000 donation is helping Connecticut Foodshare continue its fight against hunger as fuel and delivery costs rise.
The funding comes from energy company Global Partners and will help support food distribution efforts across the state.
Connecticut Foodshare says its fuel costs increased by more than $34,000 from August through September compared to the same period last year, putting additional pressure on operations.
Officials say the donation will help offset those costs and ensure food continues reaching people in need.
