A New Canaan artist is sharing how music has transformed his life in celebration of National Arts and Humanities Month.

Tommy Champion, who's currently performing in London, says the ultimate reward of his career is bringing happiness to others.

The award-winning music producer, songwriter and educator says there's no greater feeling than seeing an audience appreciate one's art.

"And the feeling that brings for me is massive. It's my favorite feeling to be able to tap into the creative impulse, the drive to write something and to take it from just a random idea in your head to a fully completed song that you get to listen back to. That to me is the most exciting thing I could possibly do in life," Champion said on Saturday.

Champion will host a new album kickoff in Manhattan on Nov. 23.
