It is now known that the Wegmans in Montvale is where a winning Powerball ticket worth $847 million was bought.
New Jersey Lottery officials are now waiting on a winner to come forward to claim what is the state's second-largest jackpot.
The ticket was purchased from the lottery vending machine inside the location Tuesday at 10:46 a.m. The winning numbers are 15, 34, 41, 53 and 56. The red Powerball was 21.
The take-home for the one-time payment is $363 million. Or the winner can choose to accept the winnings over a 29-year period.
The executive director of the New Jersey Lottery has some advice for the winner holding that ticket - take a photo of that ticket, sign it and then make a phone call.
“I would call a lawyer, I would call a tax accountant and a financial adviser. This is an extraordinary amount of money and you’re gonna need help from professionals," said executive director James Carry.
Wegmans received $30,000 as a bonus for selling the ticket. The store manager says they’ll be donating that money to the Community Foodbank of New Jersey through the store’s Checkout Hunger campaign.
In New Jersey, the winner is allowed to remain anonymous if they wish.
