A Fairfield native is battling cancer for a third time, and he's getting some support from a special line of clothing.
Charlie Capalbo, 22, was a star goalie for Fairfield Ludlowe high school. The town rallied behind during his first and second battles with cancer.
He designed his own gear to bring awareness to the disease and help with the costs. His clothing line launched a week ago and has gotten more than 1,000 orders from Tory and her brother Roscoe's business, The 203.
Capalbo couldn't keep up with demand on his own, so Tory and Roscoe stepped in.
"Charlie is such a light, and his energy is pretty contagious," Tory said. "He is an awesome kid."
The money from the Capalbo strong line will go toward Charlie's medical expenses as he battles leukemia again at Boston Children's Hospital.
"The first day alone was 400," Roscoe said. "It's really remarkable -- not just the orders, but the amount of messages we got; it's cool."
Tory says it's overwhelming, but in a good way.
"Shout out to Tory and Roscoe at 203," Capalbo said. "I also got good news from the doctors today, so that's awesome."
