A group of women in Stamford who started the nonprofit Blue and Yellow Inc. to help the Ukrainian army is organizing a 5K run in Darien to buy boots for soldiers.
News 12 first brought viewers the story of the group making blue and yellow hearts for Ukraine back in March. The group garnered so much support, they're now raising money in different ways.
"It just feels great to put everyone together and be able to buy something for our soldiers," says volunteer Tetiana Kokorska.

Kokorska says it's important to continue talking about the war in Ukraine, after several residential buildings in Ukraine were hit by Russian airstrikes, killing civilians.
"We need to keep talking about it because the world has to know about us and what's going on," she said.
