Local animal rescue groups are seeking community help after 70 cats and kittens were discovered at a home in New Fairfield.
Several shelters, including New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare on Route 37, are collaborating to provide aid. They report some cats are healthy, while others suffer from respiratory and eye infections, feline leukemia, and other illnesses.
The organizations need food, litter, and funds for vet visits.
Donations can be dropped off or shipped to the New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare on Route 37.
