2ds agoCoca-Cola announced that Sprite will no longer be sold in its iconic green bottles.
The company said it will start using clear bottles because they are more sustainable.
Sprite has been in green bottles since its debut in 1961.
The green bottles are recyclable, but they are separated from other clear items because of their color, so they are often recycled into single-use items like clothing.
The new design starts Monday.
