An 80s heartthrob and fellow member of the Brat Pack made a special appearance at Ferguson Library in Stamford.

Actor and author Andrew McCarthy led Thursday's discussion on his latest bestselling memoir "Walking with Sam." It reflects on McCarthy's decision to take his oldest son on a pilgrimage route in Spain.

McCarthy's appearance was part of the library's Friends Author Series.
