A bright daytime fireball was seen Wednesday afternoon over the skies of Connecticut.
According to the American Meteor Society, the likely path of the meteor was southeast of Long Island over the Atlantic Ocean.
A fireball is another term for a very bright meteor, generally brighter than magnitude -4, which is about the same magnitude of the planet Venus.
