Connecticut's deficit is on the rise once again.
New numbers by the state comptroller's office show Connecticut is on track to end the fiscal year on June 30 more than $300 million in the red.
The deficit comes despite three separate bills passed by the legislature in the past six months which were designed to reduce expenses.
Officials say the state will cover the spending gap by taking money out of Connecticut's rainy day fund, which will leave less than $100 million in the account.
