CT lawmakers designate racism as a public health crisis in 114-33 vote; bill heads to Lamont

Connecticut lawmakers
designated racism as a public health crisis Tuesday afternoon in a 114-33 vote.
The bill now heads to
Gov. Ned Lamont’s desk.
The legislation creates a
new commission to recommend changes to the health care system. It also creates
a new gun violence committee.
