Police say a 13-year-old student died after overdosing on fentanyl at a school in Hartford.

They say it happened on Thursday at the Sport and Medical Sciences Academy.

Authorities say two other students were also hospitalized but later released. It's believed all three came in contact with fentanyl at the same time.

Police found 40 bags of fentanyl in powder form in two classrooms and the gym.
