A shooting involving an on-duty police officer closed part of the Merritt Parkway in Stratford late Friday night, state police confirmed.

News 12’s Caren Pinto was first on the scene where a car believed to be involved with the incident had a shattered window.

There was no word on the condition of the person who was shot.

Details surrounding the incident were not immediately clear.
