Educators
held a rally in Stratford Monday evening calling for safety standards as
coronavirus cases spike.
The CEA is calling for the standardization of
protections across the state, saying the alternative is remote learning.
Gov. Ned Lamont says he hopes to get helpers in
school through a new program called Step Up Connecticut.
In Stratford, kindergartners and first grade students are back in
class four days a week, with a plan to gradually phase back in older students.
The teachers at the rally say increasing class size
is a gamble.
