The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team has earned the top spot in this week's Associated Press Top 25 men's college basketball poll.

This first place ranking is the first in a while for the men's huskies – they haven't been in the number one spot since the 2008-2009 season.

UConn's success replaces Purdue after a loss to Nebraska. Also in the top five, North Carolina and Houston.
