A West Hempstead man has been arrested and is accused of scamming a senior out of money.

Police say 20-year-old Saul Agraz Morales contacted the 82-year-old victim at his home in Ohio.

According to police, it was Tuesday when Morales allegedly told the man his granddaughter was arrested.

Morales then instructed the man to send $9,200 to a Roosevelt address for bail money.

The victim did and then eventually became concerned and called police.

Morales was arrested Wednesday and is due in court in Hempstead later today.
