Authorities: Waterbury man sentenced for running cocaine trafficking operation

A Waterbury man was sentenced to nearly 18 years in prison for running a cocaine trafficking operation.
Police say Pierre Joshwan Rodriguez, 42, ran the operation where kilograms of cocaine were hidden within boxed bluetooth speakers.
Those boxes were shipped through the mail from Puerto Rico to several addresses in Waterbury.
During their investigation, 28 kilograms of cocaine were seized.
Investigators say Rodriguez's criminal history spans over 25 years and includes multiple drug convictions.
