Averill Farm offers apples picking and other autumn activities

Owners of the farm say other than apples, they are also very famous for doughnuts.

Those looking for some autumn activities can visit Averill Farm in Washington.
There are 260 acres on the farm with around 35 of those acres being home to fruit trees. There are over 100 varieties of apples and other fruit to pick from.
The orchard is set up with a grid system using numbered and lettered rows.
Owners of the farm say other than apples, they are also very famous for doughnuts.
Visitors can bring blankets and have a picnic in the fields.
The farm is celebrating 275 years in Connecticut this year.
Averill Farm is open until late November.
