Commuters at the South Norwalk train station say limited bathroom hours are a major inconvenience. The bathrooms on the New Haven bound side of the tracks are only open from 5 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Anyone wishing to use the facilities at other times of the day has to walk over to the New York side to use the restroom. The city of Norwalk says the bathrooms are closed for security reasons. Members of the Connecticut Rail Commuter Council say if security is the problem, they want to see data to prove it. The chairman says if it's a money issue, he wants to know how much it will cost to keep the bathrooms unlocked.
