A car fatally struck a bicyclist in Wallingford Saturday afternoon, and the driver is now facing charges.

A car fatally struck a bicyclist in Wallingford Saturday afternoon, and the driver is now facing charges.
The incident occurred on South Turnpike Road.
Police say the car crossed over the center line and struck one of two bicyclists traveling on the other side of the road.
Several witnesses at the scene stopped to provide first aid to the 37-year-old.
Donald Carrelli, of Milford, was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died.
The driver is now facing several charges, including manslaughter and driving under the influence.
