Creative Starts Learning Center is back in business after being destroyed by floodwaters back in August.
The day care's owner, Marta Saklawska, says it was a long road to recovery, and it wouldn't have been possible without the community.
“Blessed," Saklawska says. "“It was very heartwarming to see how many people came together to help us."
Families and day care staff members helped clean up the original destruction back in August, and over the past few months, contractors pitched in to help with plumbing, drywall, and electrical work.
"Seeing all the walls being demolished and being rebuilt back up," toddler head teacher Marie Faroni says. "It’s just we’re all glad everybody is back to one piece."
Surrounding towns donated toys, books, and furniture while Creative Stars Learning Center took up a temporary home inside Center School in Oxford.
“Hearing the kids laugh and make more memories," Saklawska says. "I’m sure they’re happy that we’re back."
