It was going to take more than the pandemic to stop some brave souls from jumping into the icy water of Long Island Sound for a good cause.
The annual
Bobby Kaps Jump for EB, a polar plunge, was held in Southport to fund research for Epidermolysis bullosa - a skin condition that affects close to 500,000 worldwide.
Over the years, organizers say the annual plunge has helped purchase non-invasive medical equipment for people with the condition.
