For the first time in more than 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America is changing its name

The organization will soon adopt a new name: Scouting America. This change is intended to foster an environment of inclusivity, ensuring that everyone feels welcome within the organization.

Five years ago, the Boy Scouts of America made headlines by opening its doors to girls, a move that challenged traditional gender norms and reflected changing societal attitudes.

The process of renaming will commence next year, coinciding with the group's 115th anniversary.
