The owners of a Bridgeport camera store say they plan to close the shop after 60 years in business.
Len Irving, 81, has been a fixture in Bridgeport. He says he has witnessed a lot of changes in the photography industry since he opened his shop on Fairfield Avenue. He says digital technology and Internet sales have meant less business for small stores like his in recent years.
Irving says he does not have an official closing date yet, but he plans to sell off the entire remaining inventory by June. He says he is looking forward to spending time with his family and taking more pictures.
