Family members of a Bridgeport man who has been in the ICU since Easter Sunday are pleading for a suspected hit-and-run driver to come forward.
The family of 47-year-old Alvin Nieves says he is fighting for his life after undergoing surgery at Saint Vincent's Medical Center Tuesday.
The family came together Wednesday for a prayer vigil in Bridgeport.
Nieves has been in the ICU, and his family says he suffered "massive internal injuries".
Police say Nieves was struck by a dark-colored Jeep Wrangler driving eastbound in front of 520 Boston Ave. early Easter morning.
Family members say there are many cameras in the area, and they want police to circulate video of the incident so the hit-and-run driver can be brought to justice.
Bridgeport police tell News 12 they're hard at work on the case and expect to solve it soon.
If you can help police track down the driver, you're asked to call them at 203-576-TIPS.
