A family from Bridgeport is asking the public for help with some mounting medical expenses incurred from their son's cancer treatment.
Francis Kalangala, 18, was diagnosed with a form of bone cancer known as osteosarcoma. He loves to play all sports, but unfortunately had to have his right leg amputated because of the cancer. Despite the setback, Kalangala is determined to recover and play sports again.
Kalangala's family says they are in need of financial help to pay for hospital bills and some personal expenses. The family has started a fundraising website where people can leave donations.
