Bridgeport's new health director says she's been quarantining in a hotel after a relative tested positive for COVID-19.
Lisa Morrissey says she has not tested positive, but was not going to take any chances with the health of the rest of her family.
"And I'm here with them and the healthy members of our household are still at home, and I have a new appreciation for what a lot of people are going through when they're suffering with COVID-19 and having to quarantine because I'm trying to make sure that I don't become symptomatic myself and test positive while trying to provide care for my family, and there really is a lot of work and a lot of steps that go into that," Morrissey says.
Morrissey saying she's continuing to do her job while working remotely, and the experience has given her a new appreciation for all the parents out there doing the same thing.
