A Bridgeport nonprofit is encouraging people to participate in their new workout program.
Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse is hosting a free family fitness boot camp that will take place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 3455 Madison Ave.
CEO Don Wilson says the program was made possible through a private grant and is geared towards people of all ages.
Wilson says he developed the program and has lost weight by following it.
"You know, take care of yourself, right? Sometimes we're going through life, and we don't stop, and we don't take care of ourselves. I went to the doctor the other day, and I feel so good. I told him I lost 20 pounds, and I feel amazing, and I just want to share that with the community, that we have these super programs here for the community at large," he said.
