Bridgeport nonprofit launches free mobile clinic to prevent diabetes

A local nonprofit is set to hit the streets of Bridgeport, and the entire state of Connecticut with a free mobile clinic.

The mobile clinic is run by Monitor My Health, which aims to prevent diabetes worldwide.

The nonprofit focuses on communities of color which they cite as the demographic with higher diabetes rates.

Dr. Dana Wade, head of the nonprofit stated that the clinic will offer free screenings for blood pressure and blood sugar.

Dr. Wade added that the clinic serves other cities in the state such as Stamford, Norwalk and New Haven.
