Bridgeport nonprofit that provides mental health services undergoes expansion

The nonprofit is looking to hire seven new masters-level therapists to fill its newly renovated offices on the second floor of its building at 475 Clinton Ave.

Lifebridge Community Services on Clinton Avenue in Bridgeport, which provides mental health services, will soon be able to serve an additional 1,000 people every month, Lifebridge officials said Saturday.

"This story is about hope, and we are very excited about the future," said Tia Reid, Lifebridge's senior director of behavioral health services.

The nonprofit is looking to hire seven new masters-level therapists to fill its newly renovated offices on the second floor of its building at 475 Clinton Ave., Reid said.

Lifebridge will hold a symposium open to the public at Housatonic Community College on April 30 to help people impacted by acts of violence on children.
