Bridgeport officials nix plan to force students to change schools mid-year

Bridgeport school officials have officially backed off a plan to force about 60 students to change schools in the middle of the year.
School officials had planned to move the students from Wilbur Cross School to Thomas Hooker School, citing teacher shortages.
However, the superintendent says they were able to shift staff in order to fill three vacant positions at Wilbur Cross.
