The Bridgeport Police Department says it is investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Central Avenue near Seaview Avenue.

Officers say they responded to a report of shots fired on Monday around 8 p.m. They say they found an unresponsive 27-year-old woman lying in the street.

Emergency crews declared her dead at the scene.

The victim has not yet been identified. Police said she was a mother.

Officers say a man wanted for questioning in connection to the murder, Ricardo C. Robinson, was found dead Tuesday morning in Stratford. The Stratford Police Department didn’t provide details about how he died.
