Bridgeport police say two suspects were arrested Wednesday in connection to an attempted armed robbery after leading officers on a chase that ended in a crash.

They say the attempted robbery happened on North Washington Avenue and a firearm was displayed. Police say they tried to pull over the suspects’ green van, but it fled and a pursuit ensued.

The chase went onto I-95 and ended in Milford after the van crashed.

Police say two suspects were taken into custody and were brought back to Bridgeport to face charges of attempted robbery and engaging police in pursuit.

They say two officers had minor injuries from the incident.

Police have not identified the suspects.
