Residents in Bridgeport's North End tell News 12 Connecticut they are outraged over illegal dumping happening in their neighborhood.
Steven Nelson, who lives in the Second Stone Ridge community co-op, said someone dumped more than 100 tires sometime after 2 a.m. on Tuesday.
Nelson said he's furious and is in the process tracking down surveillance video with the hope of identifying the culprit.
"This is so disrespectful for somebody to think it's OK to come dump a bunch of tires on our property,” he said.
“We're a clean community,” Nelson added. "The last thing we want to do is give people the idea that this is the place where you can come dump."
The frustrated neighborhood hopes the police investigation quickly uncovers who is responsible.
"I think it's horrible,” said resident Valerie Blackwell. "Come back and get your trash!"
