A Bridgeport school security officer was honored by state and city leaders Sunday for being a positive role model for young people.
Harry Bell was recognized for his contributions to the community and most notably for inspiring young people to do their best and teaching them patterns of behavior that will sustain them throughout their lives.
Bell, 33, developed and wrote the children's coloring book series "Color a Positive Thought," which has been adopted by the Bridgeport School District.
Sunday was officially designated Harry Bell Day in the city of Bridgeport.
