The brand new Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport will have its first concert this week.

People got a sneak peek at the space Saturday night at a grand opening event.

President of the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater Howard Saffan said taking in a show at the venue will be a uniquely Bridgeport experience.

"What separates this is the experience. So we're going to have local food, From Tasty Yolk to Little Pub, to Hoodoo Brown Barbecue to Pepe's Pizza, so you feel at home when you come here and you want to enjoy it. Two Roads has their own tasting pub here. It's just an experience that you've never felt before," Saffan said.

Tickets are still available for the first show which will feature REO Speedwagon and Styx this Wednesday night.
