Bronx organizations are coming together to inform residents about health coverage during ?Cover the Uninsured Week.?
Theresa Solano, program director at the Morris Heights Health Center, says applying for coverage is simple. Solano says the kind of health coverage a person receives depends on income. She adds that if for some reason people don?t qualify for insurance, their children will qualify.
Solano says throughout the week, health centers in the borough will be signing up people for health coverage. She expects to have more than 1,000 inquiries about insurance and how to apply. Solano hopes that at least 15 to 20 percent of those people inquiring are eligible for coverage.
