? Some Bronx parents are outraged after their high school students brought home racist letters on school letterhead.
The letter, which appeared to be from the School for Community Research and Learning?s (SCRL) principal, stated that SCRL was no longer accepting Puerto Ricans or Dominican students. The letter also said they have a bad influence on other students and threatens deportation if Hispanics do not leave the school.
The principal issued an official letter Wednesday saying the first letter was a hoax and the school does not agree with its contents. Students say racism has never been a problem at SCRL. An investigation is ongoing.
