252ds agoHealth officials say they are concerned the upcoming spring holidays could harm the progress the United States has made in recent months, and with new variants spreading, they say we could be headed for a fourth wave.
The good news is the U.S. is now a global leader when it comes to vaccinations, with about a third of adults having gotten their shots.
The U.S. is averaging about 1,000 deaths a day from the virus, and the new more contagious U.K. variant is spreading rapidly.
That's why health officials are stressing the importance of continued mask wearing and social distancing with the Easter and Passover holidays fast approaching.
The CDC is recommending not to travel and to keep holiday gatherings small, particularly if people attending have not been fully vaccinated.
