A Norwalk man is preparing for an excruciating trek across Connecticut.

Ultramarathoner Evan Titus will run from East Thompson to the New York border of Greenwich all in the span of about 26 hours.

“It’s hard," Titus says. "My philosophy is that you have to choose your hard."

The 25-year-old native aims to raise $15,000 for the Wakeman Boys & Girls club in Southport.

"This is a fantastic organization," Titus says. "That helps not just with after school athletics, but also academics."

"Evan's Run Across CT" will be more than twice as long as his previous longest run of 62 consecutive miles.

Titus is hoping to inspire kids and adults to lead healthy lifestyles and become the best versions of themselves.

"Making sure you have a plan," Titus says. "Especially the discipline to follow that plan and follow through."

The run starts April 5 and will end April 6.
