There was an open dialogue Monday in Stamford between city and state officials where they addressed concerns from community members.
Rep. Jim Himes, Rep. Corey Paris, Mayor Caroline Simmons and state Sen. Patricia Billie Miller went to the Boys and Girls Club Monday evening for a Legislative Town Hall.
Their plans include addressing inflation, making the government more responsive and upgrading infrastructure.
"There are issues that are of importance to the constituents that need to be addressed in Hartford and this is where we hear it. So, what I told people tonight is, 'You're on the ground, you need to tell us what's important to you,'" said Billie Miller.
Leaders say they intend to take people's concerns with them back to Hartford to address them at the state-level.
